Owen Pallett

I was first introduced to Owen Pallett ten years ago when he was still known as Final Fantasy, he played to a crowd of about 30 people at The Ford Plant in Brantford, Ontario. Strolling into the tiny venue with a huge medical boot attached to his right leg, he quickly set up his gear, sat in a chair and started playing.

Never in my life had I seen someone use a violin in this way, playing it like a guitar at times, stomping on a pedal to loop incredible melodies, along with one of the most beautiful voices I had ever heard.
